As Chief Estimator, you will lead the estimating function for luxury homebuilding and remodeling projects. This pivotal role goes beyond creating precise estimatesyou will actively contribute to project success by overseeing aspects of construction when not focused on estimates. Your deep understanding of custom homebuilding and remodeling will ensure every project aligns with our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate, detailed estimates for luxury remodels and custom homes.
• Collaborate with clients, owners, and project teams to refine budgets and scope.
• Evaluate cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Guide clients through the selection process for materials, finishes, and designs.
• Ensure choices align with project scope, budget, and timeline.
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, owners, and subcontractors.
• Maintain clear communication to keep projects on track and manage expectations.
• Occasionally visit job sites to assess progress, address challenges, and support the project team.
• Utilize project management software (e.g., JobTread, BuilderTrend, Co-Construct) for tracking and documentation.
• Employ technology to improve workflows and enhance client communication.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in luxury remodeling, custom homebuilding, or project management is non-negotiable. Applicants must have a thorough understanding of homebuilding from the ground up, including all phases of construction.
• Experience overseeing projects and navigating job sites is essential. 
• A comprehensive understanding of roof estimating is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in construction management software (JobTread preferred).
• Familiarity with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets).
• Understanding of construction systems, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
